First of all, you feel completely safe on Phu Quoc . All winterers and tourists say this. I haven't encountered any aggression here, I left my bag on the beach without any worries, and I've even left the house a couple of times after forgetting my keys.
But the most important discovery for me is the Vietnamese! They are friendly, calm, hardworking. It seemed to me that they are not very money-oriented - they do not inflate prices, although it is difficult to bargain with them 🤗🤗🤗
I am sure that Vietnam is worthy of a long winter stay.
I need to go to Nha Trang, and Da Nang, and the mountains in the north.
Next time I would come to Phu Quoc in early November and live there for about three months. Then in February I would move to Nha Trang, and in March to Da Nang (Vietnam experts, please correct me if there's something wrong with the seasons 🙃)
I'd also do visa runs to Cambodia and go to the mountains in the north. 🏔️ 🏔️🏔️
Housing must be rented for a period multiple of a month and paid for the entire period at once. From December everything starts to get more expensive, including apartments. If you paid for the entire period and had to leave early, it is not customary to return the money. If you pay by the day, it is 1,5-2 times more expensive.
(I paid 6,5 million dong for a month, and 3 thousand for 900 days, and they even gave me a discount)💰
The food in Vietnam is great - tasty, healthy, not spicy. Fruits and vegetables are excellent. There is plenty of fish and seafood. There is beef, pork, and chicken.
You should definitely go to the Vietnamese buffet Sun Viet and try everything you can get your hands on for 220k 🤣
The beaches on Phu Quoc Island are beautiful. 🏖️
Of course, as in all of Southeast Asia, the wild beaches are dirty. The beaches at the hotels are looked after.
The best beach, in my opinion, is in November-December (you have to understand that even on an island you have to take into account the season) in the north in Fukuoka's Venice.
I would give second place to our native Long Beach with its palm trees.
On the famous Khem in November-December it is not the season - wind and waves.
It makes sense to rent a bike for a month if you live far from the main road. Well, or if you like riding a bike 🤣
You can spend a day or two riding along the beaches if you have the desire and time 🤗
There are shuttles to the main attractions from Sunset Town and Venice. free buses — 17**(every 15 minutes almost around the clock) and **19 (00.00, 08.00, 10.40, 11.20, 14.00,14.40, 17.20, 18.00, 20.40, 21.20, XNUMX)
VinBus App 🚌
You need to go north
— to Venice and see the show there at 17.30 and 21.30 (they are different)
- to the zoo on safari
— to Vin Wonder and be sure to wait for the show at 18.45
South
to the cable car (and so that the buffet is included in the price)
- In Sunset town take a walk in the evening, have dinner. The show is expensive 1,3 million (I am delighted with the show at Vin Wonder - it is included in the ticket price, it was enough for me 💥💥💥)
You can get to Sunset Town (there is also a cable car there) by taxi, and it is cheaper to book from the center of the island, although buses go to the Airport and from there closer to the cable car (but more expensive 💥)

Coffee and cocoa are a must-have from Phu Quoc. Of course, everyone's craving fruit (I couldn't resist stuffing three mangoes into my suitcase 🥭). The watermelons here are also very sweet, and such a gift would be very welcome for New Year's, but a watermelon in Rio... no, I won't be eating it 🔥
Fruits, fish/seafood/meat/chicken, eggs, vegetables are cheaper to buy at the Day Market, Night Market for tourists.
The most famous store is King Kong. There are always crowds of tourists there. You can not bother and buy everything there (the difference with the market is 10-15%)
We exchanged money and bought tickets to attractions from Alisa (the Russian Center is next stop after King Kong). Incidentally, park tickets are 20-30k cheaper from the agents than at the ticket office.
We made a mistake with SIM cards and overpaid. You need to buy in large mobile stores (a SIM card costs 100k, Internet 90k, we paid 290k in some kibitka 🤣) but what's nice is that there is WiFi everywhere (even on buses) and if you don't need communication on the beach, you can do without it 🤗
And finally, about the weather. +30C air temperature, +28 (in November) +26 (in December) water temperature.
It was a cloudy week, with three short showers.
Overall, the weather is wonderful!!!😍😍
Vietnam! I love you! ❤️❤️❤️
