From October 1st to 4th, the second Festival of World Cultures is taking place in Hanoi . The venue is the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This year's theme is "Fusing Heritage, Creating the Future": the festival commemorates the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to UNESCO.

Fifty countries and international organizations are participating, with a program spanning art, film, fashion, and cuisine. The opening ceremony on October 1 featured performances by Duc Phuc, Hoa Minhzy, Truc Nhan, and other Vietnamese artists, as well as international groups from Korea, China, Indonesia, and other countries.

What will happen in the remaining days?

  • 2 and 3 October — "Concert of the Five Continents" on the citadel's round stage: foreign groups, unusual musical instruments, joint performances by Vietnamese and foreign musicians.
  • October 3, 16:00 — street procession "Rainbow of the Five Continents": 15 foreign groups in traditional costumes.
  • October 2–4 — screenings of documentaries and short films from 18 countries, with screenings at 10:00, 13:00, 15:00, and 19:30. Admission to the screenings is free.
  • October 4, 20:00 — closing ceremony "Colors Converge - Hand in Hand into the Future."

The organizers publish opening hours and entry procedures for the closing ceremony on the official website, worldculturefestival.vn —check before you go. At the inaugural festival in 2025, the grounds were open to everyone free of charge, and tickets to the ceremonies were available upon free registration on the same website.
