Long Son Pagoda is the largest Buddhist temple in Nha Trang and one of the city's most visited religious sites. The pagoda's history begins in the late 19th century, when local monks founded the temple to serve as a spiritual hub for the community. Over time, the complex has been repeatedly reconstructed and expanded.
The pagoda's main symbol is the enormous, snow-white statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, towering over the city. The monument, including its base, reaches several dozen meters in height, making it visible from various parts of Nha Trang. To reach it, visitors must climb a long staircase that winds through the temple complex and shady gardens.
On the way to the summit, tourists can see various Buddhist sculptures, monuments to monks, and traditional elements of temple architecture. The atmosphere here is tranquil and peaceful, making the pagoda a popular destination not only among tourists but also among local believers.
The hilltop offers one of the best panoramic views of Nha Trang. From here, the city center, coastline, mountains, and surrounding areas are clearly visible. Many travelers come here specifically for the beautiful photographs and to experience the spiritual side of Vietnamese culture.
Long Son Pagoda is not only a tourist attraction, but also a functioning religious center where religious services, Buddhist festivals, and cultural events are regularly held.
