ToomSara Village is a natural and cultural tourism village in western Da Nang, nestled among forested slopes and mountain streams at the foot of the Bà Nà – Núi Chúa massif . A trip here allows you to completely switch from the urban atmosphere of Da Nang to the tranquil mountain landscape.
The village is about an hour's drive from the city center and approximately 35 km from it. The road leads toward the mountainous part of Hòa Vang, gradually transitioning from urban development to green hills, forest, and rural landscape.
ToomSara's key feature is its combination of ecotourism and Cơ Tu culture . Here, travelers can not only spend time in nature but also experience the traditions of one of Central Vietnam's indigenous ethnic communities.
The village's name also evokes its natural surroundings. In the Cơ Tu language, "Toom" means stream, and "Sara" means forest flower . This reflects the concept of a place where the natural landscape is an integral part of the tourist experience.
The history of this modern tourist destination is linked to the development of the Suối Hòa Eco-Tourism Area , a designated tourist destination since 2007. In 2019, the site was transformed with a focus on sustainable community-based tourism and the preservation of Cơ Tu culture. In 2025, ToomSara achieved ASEAN Community-Based Tourism compliance , which emphasizes an ecological approach, cultural preservation, and local community participation in tourism development.
The site features a traditional Gươl house , an important cultural element of the Cơ Tu people. Cultural programs are held here, introducing visitors to local music, dance, folk traditions, and the lifestyle of mountain communities.
ToomSara's natural setting is no less important. Mountain streams flow through the area, surrounded by forested slopes and small valleys. Visitors can walk along nature trails, relax by the water, swim in cool streams, and go trekking.
For longer stays , bungalows, tents, and other accommodation options are available . Fire pits, barbecues, cultural programs, and outdoor activities are also available. This makes ToomSara more than just a sightseeing destination, but a place for a truly rural getaway.
Throughout 2026, ToomSara also hosted various cultural events. For example, in late August and early September 2026, it hosted a program dedicated to the traditional harvest festival, Cơ Tu , featuring folk games, music, dance, craft workshops, and nature walks.
ToomSara is especially suitable for tourists already familiar with the main sights of central Da Nang and eager to explore the region's mountainous and ethnocultural side . It offers a completely different travel experience than simply exploring beaches, museums, and city attractions.
In 2026, Da Nang's official tourism portal lists ToomSara's opening hours as 08:00–17:00 and entrance fees as VND120,000 for adults and VND85,000 for children.
