🏃♂️ About the event — Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM)
The Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) is one of the most challenging and scenic trail marathons in Southeast Asia, held in the mountainous Sa Pa region of northern Vietnam. It is suitable for experienced trail runners and extreme running enthusiasts.

Length: approximately 100,7 km with an elevation difference of approximately +5,300 meters.
Launch: morning of September 19, 2026.
This is a very technically challenging route that passes through rugged mountains, forests, rice terraces and rivers.
🏔️ Track features
The start and finish are around the Hoang Lien Son mountain area and the famous Fansipan and Cow Mountain hills.
The route includes ascents and descents, crossing narrow trails, through rural villages of the Hmong and Dao ethnic communities.
The run takes place at night and during the day, in different weather conditions.
🌍 International status
VMM is part of the World Trail Majors program, a prestigious series of global trail races , which confirms the high standards of organization and routes.
👟 Participation and qualification
To participate in a 100 km distance, you are usually required to have proven experience in ultra-trail running (for example, 50 km with a significant difference in altitude).
