Vungtau: Tourist Security Squad Launched

On September 1, Ho Chi Minh City's volunteer tourism security team began operating in Vung Tau. On the day of its launch, the team helped a tourist who lost sight of her daughter while swimming safely find her and return her to her hotel.

Arrival rules have been updated from June 22.

On June 22, 2026, updated entry regulations for foreign citizens came into effect in Vietnam . Before arrival, you must complete an online declaration at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn and present the QR code at passport control. Failure to complete the form may result in delays at the border.

Telecom operators require data updates by August 15.08

Vietnamese mobile operators (Viettel, Mobifone, Vinaphone) are sending out mass text messages demanding subscribers update their personal data at the nearest mobile phone store. The deadline is August 15, 2026. Failure to do so may result in the number being blocked or restricted. For foreigners, this means visiting the operator's office with your passport and updating your linked data in person. Online access is not available.
