In 2025, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa Province) will host the 12th Maritime Festival , dedicated to the cultural heritage of Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region . The event, which will take place from June 10 to 13 , will showcase the traditions, history, and diversity of coastal cultures.

Main events of the festival

  • Grand opening June 10: Nha Trang Beach Show featuring artists from Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.
  • Street carnival: Columns in national costumes, recreating the history of the Great Silk Road.
  • Exhibition "Sea Memory": Shipwreck artefacts, traditional 'basket' boats and archival photos of fishing villages.
  • Gastronomic Quarter: Tasting seafood dishes according to ancient recipes of the coastal provinces.

The international cultural exchange program, which will take place in the evening of June 8, will include performances by artists from the city of Ulsan (Korea); the city of Lorient (France); Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe; Ninh Thuan Provincial Culture and Arts Center; misses, finalists and beauties included in the top 15 of the Miss Sea and Islands Vietnam 2025 contest. During the program, spectators will be able to enjoy many performances with typical regional flavor, such as: Khanh Hoa - Future City; Love of Pottery Village; Kate Festival Drum; Khanh Hoa Together with Song; Tonight's Stone Instrument; Gangnam Style; It's Raining Men; K.Pop Dance; Ao Dai Fashion Show;

A performance by French bagpipes; Caroline's Song… The carnival procession will take place on the evening of June 9, featuring 1200 extras and 15 flower floats representing villages in the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan. The floats will begin their march at 17:00 PM and will travel along Tran Phu Street from the riverside park opposite Tuy Tinh Street to Yen Phi Park.

Alongside this, a parade of 45 beauties competing in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 - Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 pageant will take place from Nha Trang Center to April 2nd Square. At precisely 19:30 p.m., the floats and beauties will gather at April 2nd Square to perform an artistic performance and evaluate costume designs for the carnival parade. Each float will perform scenes according to different themes, showcasing typical local art forms, such as Ho Ba Trao art; Tuong; Bai Choi; folk songs; folk dances, etc.

We have been rehearsing for the extras participating in the program since mid-May. Until now, all the performances have basically been on schedule,” said Mr. Nguyen Ai Quoc, head of the Hai Dang Music and Dance Troupe and general director of the carnival parade program.

  • Vietnam (regions: Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai);
  • Asia Pacific countries: Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand;
  • International organizations: UNESCO, ASEAN Heritage Parks.

  • Strengthening ties between countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The festival will close on June 9 with a lantern launching ceremony and a fireworks display over Nha Trang Bay.

🎉 June 9th - the end of the festival: a grand carnival
16:00 — The colorful Flower Car Parade starts along Tran Phu Street — cars decorated with bright flowers and festive cheerful floats

17:00 — The procession of floats (15 flower cars) and 1200 artists, as well as 45 finalists of the Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 contest, start from the coastal park opposite Tuy Tinh and move to Yen Phi Park

19:30 - The parade floats and participants gather in the square for the final artistic performance and carnival costume shows

In parallel, sporting events will be available: international beach volleyball, swimming competitions and car racing – part of the festival’s sports block.

It is better to arrive 30-60 minutes before the start (by 15:00-16:00) to take a good position along Tran Phu.
